Meet Kim Leblanc. Mr. Leblanc was found inside of a car that did not belong to him. Please note that when found, he was PANTLESS. When questioned as to why he broke into the car naked, he said that he had done “drugs” the night before (this is the best part) and a LEPRECHAUN, yes folks they do exist in drug infested minds (aka psychedelics), let him into the car. How do you look a cop in the eye and tell them that you thought a leprechaun let you into the car? Wow. Check out the story here. Look at that mugshot. Perfection!

I officially paid $5 whole dollars for thew new Radiohead record “In Rainbows” and after the first listen I have to say way to go guys. Way to go. I was nervous to get caught up in all the hype given that “Hail to the Thief” didn’t fully deliver what I expected.

Stand out tracks in my mind:

-15 Step (#1)

-Bodysnatchers (#2)

-All I Need (#5)

-Jigsaw Falling to Pieces (#9)

I really enjoy the album as a whole, but those tracks really got me. We’ll see how I feel after a few more listens on the headphones!

Che Guevara. Forty Years Dead. October 10, 2007

I’ll admit to having a VERY base knowledge on who Che Guevara was and what he did. I’ll further admit that a large portion of what I (think I) know about the man is gleamed from watching “The Motorcycle Diaries.” The movie is amazing and inspiring, by the way. I’ve been wanting to read Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life by Jon Lee Anderson ever seeing the movie in an attempt to learn more but the daunting size of it as kept it on the back end (see also: heavy end) of my book shelf alongside Infinite Jest and Gravity’s Rainbow. Call me lazy. I deserve it.

That being said, I just read a piece from The Nation that spoke briefly about Guevara, the forty year anniversary of his death that happened this past Monday and  his assassination led by the CIA. It’s a lot shorter than it could, and probably should have been but it’s worth reading, nevertheless. Check it out here.

Also, Democracy Now did a great piece on the anniversary during yesterday’s show. Being the giving folk that they are, they’ve posted the segment for free download.  You can get it here.

Wonder what a 1960’s drug training video looks like? Well your prayers have been answered and look no further than right below. Please note that burning incense or even owning an incense holder is a dead giveaway that you are a pot smoker. You better hope you have specially trained eyes to view:

The world’s first invisibility cloak has been created by US physicists. I am pretty baffled at this moment, so I’m not sure what else to say except for holy sh*t I need to get one of these! Though as of now, the cloak is really tiny and for 2D folks only, but still.   It will happen!

Portugal built the world’s first wave farm in order to create renewable energy. The total output of energy from the plant is estimated to power about 2,000 homes. Check out the article here for more details on how they accomplished this green friendly mission.
