According to this article, a Chinese couple tried to name their baby “@.” They claim that when the symbol is sounded out, it translates to “love him” and therefore would equate to a good name. Now that is a bunch of bull sh*t. Seriously, they are just trying to make some money or get some sort of attention. Why on Earth would you put your kid through that?

Astronomers have been lucky enough to photograph the tail of a comet behind a star in space. Apparently nothing like this has even been seen around a star and it has NASA folk in an uproar. Check out the corresponding link here.

Well not really, but recently a study was done on how powerful advertising campaigns effects, such as McDonald’s, are on preschoolers. The results were astonishing and proved that advertising coerced the taste buds of the children into thinking that the food presented in McDonald’s packaging tasted better than regular presentation. Even carrots were “better” when they were wrapped in the golden arches. This means that the kid’s “perception of taste was physically altered by the branding.” See the link here…

I go back and forth on whether or not I am a fan of M.I.A.’s. I do however, enjoy the fact that she goes back and forth from her roots here in both garb and the beat to her normal M.I.A. ways.
